Depeche Mode – Some Great Reward (LP Vinyl)
$29.95
Recorded at Hansa Studios in West Berlin, Some Great Reward marked the point where Depeche Mode's cold synth architecture started carrying real emotional weight, with Martin Gore's songwriting pushing into darker, more confrontational territory. The band's growing obsession with themes of power, devotion, and mortality found a sonic home here that would define their trajectory through the rest of the decade.
Released in September 1984 Some Great Reward is the fourth studio album from Depeche Mode. The album yielded the massive single “People Are People” which was their highest chart entry in their native UK and hit #1 in Germany. This was a significant release for the band and also features fan-favourite tracks “Somebody,” “Master And Servant” and the album closer “Blasphemous Rumours”.
