Memphis Slim – Memphis Slim, U.S.A (LP Vinyl)
$29.95
Born Peter Chatman in Memphis, Memphis Slim spent decades as one of the most internationally celebrated blues pianists alive, eventually settling in Paris and becoming a kind of cultural ambassador for American blues in Europe. Recorded for the Candid label, this session captures his rolling, boogie-inflected piano style and baritone vocal authority at their most direct, a reminder that his influence on Chicago blues piano runs deeper than most casual listeners realize.
