The Beatles – Abbey Road: Anniversary Edition (LP Vinyl)
$34.95
Recorded in the summer of 1969, Abbey Road captured the Beatles at a creative peak even as the band was quietly unraveling, with Lennon, McCartney, Harrison, and Starr each contributing some of their most enduring work to a single session. Harrison alone delivered "Something" and "Here Comes the Sun," songs that have outlasted the decade that produced them. The anniversary mix reveals layers in the original eight-tracks that half a century of familiar listening had obscured.
The new Abbey Roadrelease features thenew stereo album mix, sourced directly from the original eight-track session tapes. To produce the mix, Giles Martin working with Sam Okell, was guided by the album’s original stereo mix supervised by his father, George Martin.
